Time marker

Represents active point of time in the song

Last updated 1 year ago

The thick line that you can see on the grid is the time marker. You can move the time marker around by clicking somewhere else on the editor.

It represents the currently active point of time (in the song).

If you select some notes, time marker will automatically get placed at the beginning of the first note.

Time marker color

The color of the time marker can change. During normal edit it is black and can be moved around. Any other color means that the time marker is being automatically controlled.

You can quit any of the modes below and restore the time marker to normal just by clicking somewhere in the editor

Green color - playback mode

When either the audio or midi is being played, the time marker will become green and it will automatically move to indicate the current point of time in the audio that is now playing:

Red color - note tapping mode

While tapping notes the audio is also being played in the background, just like in the playback mode so the time marker is moved automatically. But this is where the similarities end - this is a different mode, hence the different color.

Orange color - writing tones

In this mode the time marker is moved semi-automatically. When you set the tone for the first selected note, it automatically moves to the beginning of the next note.

Green color of the time marker indicates that you are in the middle of the .

Red color of the marker means that you are currently in the mode.

Orange color means that you are currently in mode.
