# Scratchpad

Sometimes when adapting the song you need a temporary place to store some text or your notes. This is what scrachpad is for.

Scratchpad is located above the *main editor*, between the *tracks manager* and *lyrics controller* in the same pane as the *history* tab. By default it is hidden. To show it, you need to switch to the tab with *Scratchpad* caption by clicking on it.

This is a place entirely for you. You can treat it e.g. as a place to take notes or as a temporary text editor, place in which your can temporarily backup the contents of the clipboard etc.

Data in the scratchboard is not validated or saved in any way. This is a place for temporary data.
