Modifying tracks

How to modify the tracks?

Last updated 1 year ago

In this section you will learn how to modify the list of tracks available and how to change the name of the track.

Remember that all of these operations can be undid and redid. See panel for more details.

Adding new track

You can add as many tracks as you want. To add a new track you can:

  1. Right-click in the tracks manager and choose "Add" option

  1. Use menu Edit -> Add -> Track

As a result new empty track will be created with default player name. It will have no notes and no lyrics.

Editing singer name

By default new tracks will have name following the pattern:

PLAYER <player_number>

e.g.

PLAYER 1

This name will be visible in Ultrastar if your song has more than one track. Therefore you should edit this value to singer's name or use some other unique description of the vocal line e.g. Female, Male to let the users know what track they are choosing to sing.

You can edit the track's name in several ways:

  1. Right-click on the chosen track and use "Edit" option

  1. Click on the singer's name in the track manager

In editing mode you can see the blue border around the name. To confirm change simply press enter key.

Removing tracks

You can't remove the last track - song must always have at least one track

To delete a track you can:

  1. Use Edit -> Delete -> Track option from the menu to remove active track

  1. Right-click on the selected track in track manager and choose "Delete" option

  1. Click on the track you want to remove in track manager and press delete key on your keyboard.
